Linda L. Marks (Lusso), 75, wife of the late Charles Marks, of Albany passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday July 10th, 2024. Born September 12th, 1948, in Watertown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Cecyl Lusso.
Linda attended Phelps High School, after graduating in 1966 and attending college, but before starting her professional career, she embarked on a cross-country adventure. She worked for the Albany City Schools, at School 19 for many years. In 2000, she joined Ayco for 13 years as an Administrative Coordinator before retiring in 2013. In her spare time, she was an active member and volunteer at Emmaus United Methodist Church, and enjoyed crafting, particularly homemade cards and scrap booking.
Linda had a love for all animals, especially her cat Mango. Moose held an extra special place in her heart. Her lifelong wish for a moose sighting drove her hundreds of miles to northern New Hampshire where she was finally able to fulfill her dream.
Linda was loved by everyone she met. She would light up every room that she walked into with her contagious laugh and cheerful smile. Her genuine care for all showed her loving personality.
She is survived by her daughter Casey and her husband David, stepdaughter Michelle and her husband Dan, and 2 cherished grandsons, John and Charlie. She is also survived by her brother Richard and his wife Mary of Ellington CT, and by many other close friends and family.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday July 16th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with a service immediately following at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY.
