Linda Rose Marquit, 81, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Prattsville, NY on May 9, 1938, Linda was the daughter of the late Amos and Frances (Chatfield) VanValkenburgh.
Loving mother of Renee Marquit-Crandall (Joseph Terry) and step mother of Rosemary McGill.
Cherished grandmother of Ryan Terry.
Dearest aunt of Frances Sitter and several step nieces and nephews.
Sister of the late Ilene Dexter, Donna Northup, Phil VanValkenburgh and Gordon VanValkenburgh.
Linda was an avid crocheter and enjoying knitting. She also was an animal lover.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM Saturday, February 15th at Cobblestone Church, 118 Putnam Rd, Schenectady, NY 12306. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
