Linda E. Powell

Linda E. Powell, 78, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Schenectady NY. Born on August 23, 1945, in Albany, NY, Linda was a beloved figure in her community and a cherished member of her family.

Linda was a graduate of Albany High School and lived a life filled with joy and laughter. She was known for her love of singing along to music, shopping, and participating in Publisher Clearing House. Linda had a special fondness for spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She enjoyed hosting sleepovers, affectionally known as sessions to "fatten them up" before sending them back home, much to the delight of the children and amusement of their parents.

She was a family-oriented person who cherished her relationships. Linda is survived by her son, Robert Boddy and his wife, Tina Boddy; sisters, Wanda Powell, Pamela Powell, and brother, Ramundo Powell; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Raymond Powell, and her brothers, Tony and Raymond Powell.

Services to honor Linda's life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. Interment will follow.
