Linnea Love Jatulis, 89, of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024 after a battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Mindaugas Jatulis, and children Thomas Jatulis (Lisa Lavinio Jatulis) of Huntersville, NC, and Aline Jatulis-Wight (Noah Wight) of Crested Butte, CO, along with four cherished grandchildren.
Linnea was the youngest of four children born in Cazenovia, NY to Dwight and Marion Stillman. She graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University, and her PhD in Education from SUNY of Albany. Linnea dedicated herself to nursing education, founding the Nursing Services Program at Fulton-Montgomery Community College and later serving as Professor and Chair of the Department of Nursing at Russell Sage College.
Linnea was a life-long enthusiast of travel, reading, art, music, tennis, gardening and gourmet cooking. Her love of family, friends and zest for life was apparent in everything she did and made her a force to reckon with. Her ability to make others feel welcome and accepted permeated both her personal and professional life and her presence will be greatly missed by everyone that she touched.
A celebration of Linnea's life will be held at a later date.
