Linus J. Howard Sr.
August 30, 1938 — June 26, 2016
Linus J. Howard Sr. beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016. He now joins his late wife, of 59 years, Loretta K. Howard.
Linus is survived by his loving children; Linus (Chong), Michele (Neil), Loretta (Rick), and Matthew; grandchildren Loretta, Janet (Victor), Seneca (Casey), Neil, Linus, Joshua, Michael N., Montanna, Breanna, Richard, Michael H., Julia, Leeann, Emily, and Hayzel; along with other close family members and friends.
Linus was a member of the U.S.A.F where he served for 21 years following with employment at the Colonie Post Office, where he retired after 25 years. While in the military, Linus treasured the time spent traveling the world with his family.
He loved his annual cruises with family and friends and looked forward to his golfing league with his eldest son and bowling with his daughter and grandchildren weekly. Linus was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Calling hours will be held for family and friends on Thursday June 30 2016 from 4pm-5pm at the New Comer Funeral Home (343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, 12205). A funeral service will be at 5pm at the funeral home.
