Lisa L. Corbitt

ALBANY- Lisa L. O'Connor Corbitt, 52, of Albany, passed away Wednesday July 21, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Elizabeth A. O'Connor. Lisa was a graduate of Vincentian Institute and Siena College. During her professional career, she served as Manager and Director of Human Resources for several major companies and higher education institutions.
Lisa was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and camping with her family at Alpine Lake. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Lisa was a kind, caring and generous person who spent her life helping and doing for others.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, John (Chuck) Corbitt and their beloved son, Sean Patrick. She is the sister of Patricia R. (Theodore A.) Holmes and the late John J. O'Connor and Timothy N. O'Connor. Lisa is the sister in law of Dennis (Kim) Corbitt, Timothy (Shannon) Corbitt, Lynn Corbitt and Barbara O'Connor. She is the daughter in law of John and Marilyn Corbitt. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
