Lisa J. Norris

Selkirk- Lisa J. Norris, 51, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of Gail Norris and the late Thomas Norris. Lisa was the loving partner to Clarence W. Holdren. They were together 12 years.

Lisa was an amazing dog trainer who loved her job.

Lisa enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking for them. She loved all animals, especially dogs and horses. Lisa was an equestrian throughout her teen years and loved every second of it. For the last 20 years, Lisa has been a competitor, judge and trainer in the dog agility world. She will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion towards all animals.

In addition to her mother and her domestic partner, Lisa is survived by her niece, Mary Luke; nephew, Brian Luke; her beloved dogs, Pistol, Prank and Cash; and many friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Thursday December 23, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date in spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lisa's name to Amyloidosis support group at Amyloidosissupport.org/donations or an animal charity of your choice.
