Lisa Marie Schaefer

Albany- Lisa Marie Schaefer, 47, passed away at her home on March 2, 2017. Born in Albany, NY on November 11, 1969 she was the daughter of Christopher D. Schaefer and Kathleen (Beck) Schaefer. Lisa graduated from Shaker High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Her beloved son Marcus was her pride and joy. She supported him in all of his academic and sporting endeavors. A woman of strong faith, Lisa was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She had a love for butterflies, dragonflies, all things Irish, and her cat Rosie.
Lisa is survived by her son Marcus Jackson and his father Tony Jackson of Albany; her father, Christopher D. (Susan) Schaefer of North Creek, her mother Kathleen Schaefer of Cohoes; her sister Colleen Ritchie and several aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and step-family.
Memorial visitation will be from 1 pm to 2:30 pm on Tuesday, March 7 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union St, Schenectady, NY 12308. Mass will follow at 2:30 pm at the church. Burial will be privately held at a later date.
