COLONIE- Lloyd K. Hatin, 80, of Colonie, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday January 31, 2008 at the Stratton VA Medical Center Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer..
He was born in Burlington, VT on April 19, 1927. Lloyd served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for General Electric Company in Burlington VT and at Knolls Atomic Power Lab in Niskayuna from where he retired.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 40 years, Margaret Moran Hatin; his children Theresa Baker (Stephen) and Daniel Hatin; his sister Barbara Menard of Burlington VT; his step children, Thomas (Eileen) Moran, Margaret (Bob) Morrison, David (Katherine) Moran and Michael (Beth) Moran; 14grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughters Linda Keese and Carol Hatin, his brother Irving Hatin and his sister Shirley Morril.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:30 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Clare's Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
