Lloyd Parker, 60 of Albany passed away on June 28, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Lloyd is a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Lloyd was educated in the Albany Catholic School systems. He made his confirmation at St. Anne's Catholic Church. He was a star basketball player for McClusky High School. He was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He lived in Alaska for many years where he met and married his wife Bonnye. Lloyd was a passionate chef, baker and ice sculptor and passed his talent onto his son Desona. He was employed as a chef until his retirement 7 years ago when he had to retire due to illness. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 37, Bonnye Parker; his children, Athena, DeSona, La'Kieta, Lavander, ,Tiona; grandchildren, Aaliyah, Lamar, Aneya, Kadija, Keyna, Imani, his sisters, Rev. Agnes T. Harris, Millie M. (Kenneth) Holmes, Thomasina Doyle, Pauline Parker; brothers, Elder Johnny Windley, Russell Tucker and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased in death by his mother, EverMae Parker.
A service to celebrate Lloyds life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his nieces house, 64 Glendale Ave., Albany, NY 12208 from 3-8pm.
