August 2, 1927 — April 30, 2012

Lois A. Becker "Dixie" passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2012 in Connecticut with her family by her side. Lois was born in Troy to the late James and Margaret Dickson. Lois lived life to the fullest. She had a love for boats, golfing, driving her car, candy, and everything to do with her home life, and especially spending time with her family and her beloved Ronald Ashdown. In addition to her parents Lois was predeceased by her sister Flora Cortley; her brother James R. Dickson III and her son-in-law Russell Prusky.

Lois is survived by her beloved children; Deborah Becker, Lesleigh (Christopher Rasmussen) Walsh and Wallace (Karen) Becker. She is the cherished grandmother of Cameron and Ryan and adored great grandmother of Paxton. She is the sister of Shirley (Tony Cowles) Hart, Margaret Dickson and Howard (Ruth) Dickson; and sister-in-law of Catherine Dickson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff with Hospice and the Visiting Nurses and Health Services on Connecticut especially Linda, Julie and Donna for all of their care and compassion given to Lois. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses and Health Services, 8 Keynote Drive Vernon, CT 06066 in Lois's memory.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 34 Broadway, Rensselaer, NY 12144. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
