Lois Honikel-Barford, 96, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. Lois was the daughter of the late Louis and Evelyn Douglass. Lois was predeceased by her first husband of 39 years, Philip G. Honikel. Lois was also predeceased by her second husband, Burns Barford.

Lois was an avid bridge player, reader and golfer. Lois was involved with the Albany Institute of History and Art, St. Peter's Hospital Auxiliary. Lois was a lifetime member of Wolferts Roost Country Club.

Lois is survived by her children, Harry Honikel, Gretchen (Paul) Courcelle, Laurie (Doug) Buzzard, Charles (Kelly) Honikel; grandchildren, Brittany, McKenzie, Schuyler, Matthew, Eric, Elizabeth, Gregory, Shawn, Kathryn; great grandchildren, Isaac, Liana, Emma, and Owen; and many loving friends.

Lois was predeceased by siblings, Natalie Douglas, Phyllis Douglass, Marguerite Winters, and Louis Douglas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., Albany.
