Lois Hotaling

Slingerlands – Lois J. Hotaling, 74, passed away Saturday May 24, 2008 on the Outer Banks of North Carolina at Britthaven of Nags Head. She had succumbed to Pancreatic Cancer after a brief illness.

Lois was born in Albany, the daughter of the late John and Sara (Burckhard) Goedtel. Lois worked for the New York State Department of Labor and had retired eight years ago. She lived in Slingerlands for 66 years, only have moved to Manteo, N C after retirement.

Lois is survived by her devoted son Ward D.(Connie M.) Hotaling of Voorheesville, her daughter Michele Sola, her grand daughters; Jennifer and Rachel Sola, her great grandchildren; Alexia and Paige MacQuin, her brother John (Ethel) Goedtel and several nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). A graveside service will follow. Memorial Contributions may be made to Guilderhaven Animal Shelter, 6655 Rte. 158, Altamont, NY 12009.
