Lois J. Whitbeck, 76, passed away Saturday, August 19th, 2023. Born February 5, 1947, in Oneonta, NY, daughter of the late Edward and Lucy Taite.
Lois was a dedicated clerk for the village of Round Lake, retiring after 20 plus years.
Lois is the beloved wife and partner of 46 years to the late Oakley W. Whitbeck Jr. She is the devoted mother to: Jessica, Marc, and the late Robert David and sister in law of Theresa Taite. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and son, Lois was predeceased by her brother, Steven Taite and sisters, Patricia Walling and Cindy Amash.
A memorial service will be held at the Village of Round Lake Community Room, 49 Burlington Avenue, Round Lake, NY 12151 on Sunday, August 27th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in loving memory to the Round Lake Library-Clark House, 31 Wesley Avenue, Round Lake, NY 12151.
