East Greenbush- With heavy hearts, the family of Loraine J. Greenough, announces the passing of their beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She passed Thursday, April 28, 2022, of natural causes.

Born March 1, 1933, in Saratoga Springs NY, daughter of the late Timothy and Hilda Harrington. She met and married the love of her life Ronald E. Greenough on June 24, 1949. This June would have been their 73rd wedding anniversary.
In addition to her loving husband, Loraine is survived by four of her five children, three sons, Ronald Greenough (Pamela), Timothy Greenough (Susan), Michael Greenough, and daughter Gail Tremblay (Aaron). Loraine is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Arron Greenough (Lindsey-Emery & Brodie), Courtney Greenough (Aiddon), Kerry Hasselbach (Joshua- Christopher & Liam), Kelly McGlynn Ferjentsik (Erik- Lennox & Violet), Shamus McGlynn, Mikenna Greenough, Shayne Greenough, Aaron D. Tremblay, Brenna Tremblay (Zack), and Hannah Tremblay.
Loraine has joined her brother Robert (Bobby) Harrington and her first daughter Linda Greenough McGlynn as well as her parents in heaven when she left us.
Loraine, a homemaker her entire adult life, took much pride in her home, both inside and out, and always made it a warm and welcoming place especially during the holidays.
Loraine was a long-time parishioner of the Church of The Holy Spirit in East Greenbush and participated in the Altar/Rosary Society. She enjoyed camping (in her younger years) and spending time with her entire family. She will be dearly missed.
A mother is more than a memory. She is a living presence. Don't think of her as gone, her journey has just begun, life holds so many facets and this earth is just one.
Think of her as resting now, no more sorrow no more tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. She cherished every moment with the man who was her life; Walking hand in hand together, facing life with all its strife.
Think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved very much. She has gone to live with Jesus. But, she's here with us, today, smiling down on every one of us, and telling us she is okay.
A funeral mass will be held on May 11, 2022, at 10 am, at Church of the Holy Spirit, 667 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush.
