Westerlo – Loren "The Horseman" Cross, 91 passed away December 28, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Loren was the son of the late Earl and Florence Cross. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Winifred "Cubby" Cross.
Loren was employed for 35 years by Tobin Packing Company. Loren was a medic in the US Army during World War II stationed in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged. Loren enjoyed working around his homestead until the very end. He also enjoyed hunting, deep-sea fishing and especially loved his Chihuahua "Pepe". He also enjoyed visiting Grandma Howland.
Loren is survived by his loving children; Ronald Cross of Westerlo, Linda Casey(Robert) of Halfmoon, Frank Cross (Susan) of Delanson, Michael Cross (Lori) of Westerlo, John Cross (Sharon) of Loudonville, and Joel Cross (Susan) of Cohoes. Loren will also be missed by his grandchildren; Ron-Ron, Susie, Robbie, David, Michele, Dennis, Kevin, Eric, Brendan, Mia and Alexander. He especially loved his niece Susan Nolan. He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister Mickey.
The family requests any donations to be made to the local Humane Society.
