Lorena Joan Taylor
December 23, 1932 — July 9, 2016
COLONIE-Lorena Joan Taylor (Renee) oldest of four children entered heaven and was greeted by husband James Sr., her parents Lorena & William VanPatten, sister, Marilyn and brother, Bill on July 9, 2016.
Renee's happiness came from her husband of 61 years and joy of caring for her two children, James Jr. and Joan Cipriano. Her love grew further with grandchildren, Jeffrey Taylor, James Taylor, Tammy Taylor, Chris Cipriano and Ashley Cipriano & 5 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister Dawn Piotrowski.
Lorena was a room mother, den mother and always attended grandkids games, concerts, awards and Ashley's Dance Recitals. She introduced us to many shrines.
Renee had an infectious laugh and warm smile. She loved family gatherings, travel, baking, camp but mostly faith in blessed mother. She always cherished her education and friends of St. Josephs Academy School. She was an active member of St. Paul's Church, Midway Fire Dept. Auxiliary, Guilderland Elks Auxiliary and Capps.
A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. Paul The Apostle Church at 11:00am. Calling hours will be from 5-7pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY. Entombment will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
