Glenville– Loretta R. Dashnaw, 84, born in Albany, NY, passed away on August 2, 2014, at Ellis Hospital.
Loretta, a devout Catholic, is survived by her beloved sons; Tony (Debbie) Tino, Frank Tino, Michael Tino, James (Susan) Tino, her cherished grandchildren; Tony, Christopher, Angela, Tiffany, Brittany, Jimmy, Nicholas, Matthew, Christina, and Victoria, her sister, Margaret Romand, and her brothers; Leo and Phillip de Gonzague, and many adoring nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband James Dashnaw, her parents, Anthony de Gonzague and Loretta LaChance, her son Phillip Tino, her sisters; Claire Dillon, Theresa Ouellette, Rita Ostrowidzki, and her brother; Joe de Gonzague.
Loretta was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a lover of animals and had a great affection for her dogs, Benji and Monique. She had a wonderful sense of humor, filled many a room with laughter, and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. Loretta was artistic and crafted tole paintings.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 5th, 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd, Glenville, on Wednesday, August 6th at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
