Loretta G. Jones

East Greenbush – Loretta G. Jones, age 84 passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was married to Robert M. Jones Sr. of East Greenbush for over 63 years. Pre-deceased by her loving father and mother, John and Gertrude LaMountain and her five siblings.

Loretta retired from NYS Workers Compensation and the East Greenbush school district. She was a long time parishioner at Holy Spirit Church.

She enjoyed every activity that involved her large family. Loretta was the devoted and beloved mother of Robert Jones Jr. (Maryann), John Jones (Darlene), Laurie Bliven (Dan), Linda Mertlik (Chuck). She had a special place in her heart for each of her grandchildren, Ashley Palmer, Rebecca Allen, Nathan Jones, Zachary Jones, Sarah Mertlik, Emily Jones and Daniel Jones. Her lovely heart even had enough room for each of her eleven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Thursday October 28, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend her funeral Mass at Holy Spirit Church, 667 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY 12061 on Friday October 29, 2021 at 10 a.m. Private interment will be at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
