Loretta Liuzzi

Loudonville – Loretta M. Liuzzi, 68, passed at away at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's on Saturday April 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany she is the daughter of the late Agnes Zaloga-Robinson and Henry Stolz.

Loretta worked for the NYS Department of Transportation and then retired from the South Colonie Central School District where she worked for many years as a lunch aide. She enjoyed the casino, going to the ocean, and dancing. But what she loved most of all was spending time with her beloved family at their camp on Caroga Lake.

Loretta was predeceased by her sister Irene (Carl) Girard.

Loretta is survived by; her cherished husband Ronald Liuzzi of 46 years, her children; Ronald Liuzzi, Danielle (Dominick) Brennan and Tracy (Dean) Todriff, her grandchildren; Leanna, Rose, Savannah, Ronald Jr., and Rudi-Nicole Liuzzi, Joseph Dana, Dominick Brennan Jr., Zachary and Dean Jr. Todriff. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Community Hospice Inn, Albany Home Hospice, and her home health aides for their care and compassion shown to Loretta and the family during her illness.

Calling hours for Loretta will be Monday April 14th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial for Loretta will be celebrated Tuesday April 15th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to Mass. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
