NISKAYUNA – Loretta S. Tys, 90, of Niskayuna, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Dunkirk, NY and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Agnes Somerfeldt. Loretta was a woman of deep faith and was a longtime communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church. She was an avid reader.
Loretta was predeceased by her husband Victor and her son Richard. She is the beloved mother of Thomas J. (Linda) Tys, Ronald (Donna) Tys and Patricia M. (Mark) Persky. She is the sister of Elaine Long and the late Edmund Somerfeldt. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning at 9:00am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Schenectady. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
