COLONIE – Loretta A. Tarasewich, 72, of Colonie, formerly of Mechanicville, passed away on Tuesday June 2, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Fay and Evon Maple. Loretta was a data processing clerk with Key Services in Albany for many years. She enjoyed, bingo, playing cards and spending time with her cherished family. Loretta was predeceased in 2002 by her husband John Tarasewich Jr.
Loretta is the beloved mother of Yvonne M. Somers (James), Rose Marie Moore (Clifton), Jo-Anne Bishop (Robert), Mary-Anne Rowinski (Josef), John F. Tarasewich and Joseph Tarasewich. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Funeral services will be offered at 2:00 on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorys Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation-NY, 99 Troy Rd. Suite 200, East Greenbush, NY 12061 in memory of Loretta Tarasewich.
