Lorraine Dennis

Guilderland – Lorraine C. Dennis, 80, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday September 4, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago, IL she is the daughter of the late Nancy and George Zukauskas.

Lorraine worked as a registered nurse at Albany Medical Center for many years before retiring due to her illness. She remained a nurse until her death. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Denise (John) Travison, Harold (Lisa) Dennis, Nancy (Christopher) Ewart, Michael (Julia) Dennis, Mary (Bob) Barrera and George (Maureen) Dennis; her grandchildren, Alicia (Jason), Zachary, Joshua, Jason (Danielle), Caresse (Ryan), Kimberly (Chris), Christian (Rachael), Karisa, Matt, Scott (Haley), Eric (Jenn), Lauren, Katelin and Robert. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, her brother George (Caryl) Zukauskas and many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was predeceased by her beloved husband Harry Dennis in 2006 and great-grandson Austin Wayne Carroll in 2013.

Calling hours for Lorraine will be held on Monday September 8th from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Lorraine on Tuesday September 9th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Madeline Sophie Church, Guilderland. Lorraine will be laid to rest beside her husband in Saratoga National Cemetery.
