ALBANY – Lorraine E. Warner, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born on January 9, 1928 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lavena (Mattiske) Stanton.
Lorraine worked for the Stratton VA Medical Center as a Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed knitting and crochet. She loved Christmas and having family gatherings for whatever the occasion.
Along with her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her son, Clifford L. Warner, Sr., and brother Marvin Stanton.
She is survived by her children Wayne R. (Joan) Warner, Sr. and Cheryl E. (Warner) Miller; sister Carol (Stanton) Decker; grandchildren Clifford L. Warner, Jr., Wayne R. Warner, Jr. and Michael J. Miller; George, Daniel and John Warner; great-grandchild Adison Miller; daughter-in-law Isabella Warner and nephew Wallace Sherman.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie.
