STEWART, LORRAINE F.
Lorraine F. Stewart, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 29, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was born in Troy to the late Charles and Helen Doyle. She was a registered nurse for St. Peters Hospital for 35 years where she dedicated her life to caring for others. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents Lorraine was predeceased by her sister Mary DelCogliano, her brother John J. Doyle and is now reunited with her husband of over 37 years, Richard Stewart.
Lorraine is survived by her children; Daniel (Linda) Stewart, Karen (Richard) Abbott and Lynn (Adam) Zeh. She is the loving grandmother of; Jamie, Shane, Chad, Ali and Hunter; and is the beloved sister of Charles Doyle. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County for all of the loving care they gave to Lorraine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 at All Saints Catholic Church (former St. Margaret Mary), Albany. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
