Albany – Lorraine L. Schryver, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 with her loving husband by her side.
She was born in Clymer, NY, the daughter of the late Bert and Grace Lewis. Lorraine loved to play bridge and pinochle, and loved spending summers at the Cape.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of 67 years, George Schryver, and her loving son Daniel (Cathy) Schryver; her grandchildren Ann Marie (Josh) Streufert, and Jimmy (Mette) Schryver; and her great-grandchild Isaiah Streufert.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Community Hospice of Albany for all of the care and compassion given to Lorraine.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, then to the Church of Christ the King, Guilderland, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. Calling hours will be Friday, 4 to 7 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. The parish family of Christ the King will gather on Friday at 4:30 at the funeral home for a service for prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
