Albany- Lorraine Murphy, 82, passed away on June 14, 2018 at home with her family.
She was born on May 2, 1936 daughter of the late Frederick and Marie Handschuh in New York, NY.
She was the loving mother of Edward Murphy, Jr., Jill Shrader (John), Jeffrey Murphy; the grandmother of Sarah Wadsworth (Robert), Sean Murphy, Nicole Murphy and great grandmother of Taylor, Tristin, Teagan, Tessa, Brayden, and Liam Edward. She also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter-in-law, Denise Connors and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Murphy, Sr., her son, Thomas Murphy, grandson, Patrick Murphy, and her sister Anna Gebhard and her brother Harvey Handschuh.
In keeping with Lorraine's wishes there will be no services. Those wishing to honor her memory may do so by making a memorial contribution to The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 South Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
