Lorraine R. Reittinger

Albany, NY - Lorraine R. Reittinger, 80, beloved wife of the Late Frederick G. "Whitey" Reittinger, entered into eternal life September 14th, 2009 at home.
She was the secretarial mainstay at Friedman, Fisher & Assoc. for 35 years. She was the mainstay of our family for almost 60 years. She was a lifelong member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Colonie. Although she loved many things, among them flowers, hummingbirds and "sparkles" (she was affectionately dubbed the "Rhinestone Grandma") and excelled at many things, excellent secretary, seamstress, cook and pie maker, nothing exceeded or gave her more joy than her love for her family, but what she excelled at most was being a mom.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Gipp of Delanson, Diane O'Gorman and husband James of Northport, FL; and Denise Johnstone and husband Thomas of Altamont; seven grandchildren; G. Clayton (Noelle) Gipp, Jordan Gipp, Kevin & Bryan O'Gorman, TJ (Stephanie) Johnstone Jr., Sarah (John) Gardiner & Kurtiss (Tanya) Johnstone. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren Shelby Gipp, Jarett & Alison Johnstone, Kira, Amanda & Emma Gardiner and Zachary Johnstone.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 am at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205.
