ALBANY - Louis W. Brown, 67, peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home.
Born in Utica, N.Y., he was the son of the late Wesley Sr. and Rosalie Brown. He retired from the NYS Office of General Services after over 20 years of service. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be remembered for his quick wit, wonderful sense of humor and generous and loving spirit.
Louis is survived by his children, Shameka (Kevin Johnson) Brown-Johnson, Lynette (Richard Smith) Smith, Lewis (Ginamarie Brown) Brown, and Jonathan Eason; grandchildren, Morgan, Jordan and Aaron Johnson, Christopher, Jared and Adrian Smith, Zinnaira Mansingh, Charles Smith, and Quavaughn David Eason; great grandchildren, Fearra and Aleiya Mansingh; four sisters, Jeanette Anderson and Bernice Gilmore both of Albany and Yvette and Edith Brown of both Buffalo; one aunt, Edna Howard; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by brothers, Wesley, Ramos and Teddy Brown and sister, Lulamae Thomas.

Out of deep respect for his wishes, no formal services will be held. Those wishing to honor his memory may do so by remembering his spirit of love and lightheartedness and continuing to spread love, kindness and laughter in the world.
