Louis Debenedetto

Albany-Louis DeBenedetto, 64, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Albany Medical Center after battling a long illness. Born on September 5, 1953 in Albany, NY, Louis was the son of Domonic and Maria DeBenedetto. He was predeceased by his brother, Severino DeBenedetto and his sister Josephine DeBenedetto. Louis was the beloved brother of Daniel DeBenedetto of Colonie and Alfonso DeBenedetto of Schenectady. Louis was the beloved Uncle to Amy (Terrance) Deese of Ravena, Patrick DeBenedetto of Colonie, Kerrie DeBenedetto of Watervliet, Maria Down of Schenectady and Esther Dowen of Schenectady. He was the beloved great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Louis was a kind, giving, humble and very loving person. He was adored by his family and friends. He was a very hard worker and loved driving a cab. Uncle Louie will be remembered as more than just an Uncle, but as a mentor and a friend.
Visitation will be from 1pm to 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 29 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road. A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
