Louis Laduke

VOORHEESVILLE-Louis S. LaDuke, 83, of Voorheesville passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at his residence. Louis was born in Blackbrook, NY the son of the late Peter and Myrtle LaDuke. He has resided in Voorheesville for most of his life. Louis was a heavy equipment operator and operating engineer for Union 106. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Army. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed being on Lake Champlain on his Boston Whaler fishing, and a Harley enthusiast. Louis had a great sense of humor and was admired and loved by all that knew him.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elsie (Smith) LaDuke of Voorheesville and is the loving father of Victoria LaDuke of Schenectady, Christina LaDuke of Voorheesville and Loucinda Walsh (Michael) of Middleburgh. He is also survived by his grandchildren Gary Graffunder, Domenica Wagoner (John), Timothy LeClair (Mary), Keith LeClair (Joanna) and Justin Phillippe and by his great grandchildren Savannah Wagoner, Alivia Wagoner, Alexander LeClair, Nicholas LeClair, Hailey LeClair and Zoey LeClair. Louis also leaves behind his brothers Nelson, Roy and Tom LaDuke and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his granddaughter Crystal Rosemary Graffunder, his brothers Dale, Robert and Eugene LaDuke and by his sisters Belva and Velma LaDuke.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 8PM at the funeral home.
