Louis Tolliver
September 19, 1960 — January 7, 2015
North Greenbush – Louis M. Tolliver, 54, passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday January 7, 2015. Born in Albany, he is the son of the late Pauline Tolliver and John "Jack" Dozier.
Louis attended Albany Public Schools and Hudson Valley Community College. He worked as a private duty nurse for more than 15 years before retiring. Louis was a devoted care-giver and father to his two sons.
He leaves to mourn, his husband, Paul J. Fries; his sons, Shaheed Tolliver-Fries and Nikolai Tolliver-Fries; and his siblings, Naomi P. Sanders, Earthene (Jeffrey) Tolliver, Keith (Andrea) Love. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by Herman and Anthony "Tony" Tolliver.
Funeral services for Louis will be held on Monday January 12th at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home. Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Repast will follow the cemetery at 20 Van Dyke Dr. South, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
