Louisa Anna Rieke, 97, of Manhattan and Ticonderoga, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2015.
Louisa was born in New York City, New York on December 13, 1917 to the late Louis and Elizabeth Malaussena.
She was the past president of the Moses Ludington Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Ticonderoga Garden Club.
She loved to travel extensively through out the West Indies, Mexico, Europe especially the South of France.
She enjoyed family get together's with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. She loved parties, music and dancing.
In addition to her parents, Louisa was predeceased by her loving husband, William Rieke, daughter Judith Guthenberg, step sister, Mary (Dante) Cecchini, brother Robert (Alberta) Malaussena and brother-in-law, James Malzone.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Rieke. She is the cherished grandmother of Judy (Patrick) DeVaney, Jill Vosburg, Brant (Jen) Guthenberg and Karen (Mark) Magnifico. She is the adored great grandmother of John, Tom, Willem, Avery, Lucas, Nicole, Reagan and Brody. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Malzone and her brother, Arthur (Barbara) Malaussena as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
