Albany – Louise (Weezie) A. Thomas, 88, of Albany, passed away on Sunday December 6, 2009 at St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Mobile, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Dobbelaere DeNeef. Weezie has been a longtime resident of St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by her children, Donald H. Gavigan, Chuck (Sharon) Thomas and Mary D. Thomas. She is the mother in law of Donna Grebert. Grandmother of Scott (Teresa) Gavigan, Kerry (Tony) Crisorio, Erica Thomas, Kelsey Thomas, Brian, Reaghan and Madison Gavigan. Weezie is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A prayer service will be offered at 7 pm on Wednesday evening. Interment will be private at St. Agnes Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Patient Activities Fund, 301 Hackett Blvd. Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Louise A. Thomas.
