ALBANY-Louise T. Antoinette of Albany passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Albany County Nursing Home after a long illness. Louise was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Mario and Luisa Cerasaro Pompi. She attended Cathedral Academy and was a resident of Albany for most of her life. Louise was employed by both the NYS Dept. of Labor and the NYS Higher Education Services Corp. She was proud of her Italian Heritage and spoke and wrote fluent Italian. Louise was a creative and talented artist, who also enjoyed Saratoga and horseracing. Her greatest love was for her family and she enjoyed cooking for them.
Louise is the beloved mother of Peter A. Antoinette of Guilderland, the loving grandmother of Peter "PJ" Antoinette, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Nicholas Antoinette of Guilderland and Andrew Antoinette of Guilderland. She is also the loving sister of Mary Reilly of Albany and twin sister Ann Caputo of Guilderland. Louise is also survived by her niece and nephews Michael J. Caputo of Latham, Robert L. Reilly, Jr. of Delmar, Mary Louise Reilly of Albany and Paul E. Caputo of Guilderland, also with several great nieces and two great great nieces.
In addition to her parents, Louise was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Antoinette and by her brothers Carl A. Pompi and A. Frank Pompi.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Central Avenue, Albany.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
