Louise Mary Huyck

COLONIE - Louise Mary Huyck, 81, affectionately known as Pudgy to family and friends, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Louise was born on October 26, 1942 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Mark and Rose (Rogers) Howder.

She work at Memorial Hospital as a billing clerk. She loved all animals and had many pets over the years. While living in Florida, she volunteered at a children's zoo. She loved to dance with or without a partner. She had many talents. She was an accomplished seamstress and once remolded her home in West Sand Lake, doing much of the work herself.

Pudgy is survived by many loving nieces and nephews who she cared for over the years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Christopher Huyck; her former husband and long time friend, Art McLaughlin; her siblings, Mark Howder, Jr., Doris Glinski, Shirley Parker, Eleanor Roy, Mary Hansen, and Edward Howder.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, October 25th, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be held at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
