GUILDERLAND – Louise M. Cadalso, 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at The Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Louise was born on October 30, 1921 in Glens Falls and was the daughter of the late Harry and Bertha Thompson. She worked for New York State, started with the Department of Labor and retiring from the Division of Youth. She then worked part-time at the State Police Headquarters cafeteria. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, family dinners, and spending time with her family, especially around her pool.
Louise is survived by her children, Richard J. (Mary Ellen) Cadalso of Colonie, Marie L. (Kevin) O'Connell of Albany, Stephen T. (Joanne) Cadalso of Guilderland and Daniel P. Cadalso of Albany; her grandchildren, Kevin M. O'Connell, Lori M. O'Connell and David M. Cadalso; her brother-in-law, John (Marge) Cadalso and several nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her husband, Ciro E. Cadalso, Jr. and her brothers, Harry and Richard Thompson.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Kredentser and his staff at the Women's Cancer Center of Albany for the special attention and care given to Louise.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to the Church of the Holy Cross where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
