Lucie Ndeba Biofuta Muamba, passed away on peacefully on October 18, 2018, at the age of 77.
Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo on April 24, 1941 in the region of Kambabare, she attended the Normal School of Kongolo, which was administrated by the Belgium nuns in the province of Katanga. She was the daughter of the late Alexander Ramazani and Bayisuga Salima.
Married for 56 years, she became the widow of the late Ntombolo Kalambayi Muamba, PH. D., who passed away on May 5, 2014.
Mama Lucie was loved by everyone. She was a homemaker who gave good advice to young married couples and was a gracious mother to the entire community.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucie was also predeceased by her daughter Chantal Muamba Lobo, her son William Muamba, along with two brothers and a sister.
Lucie leaves behind her loving children Josephine Muamba Kamya, Boli Muamba, John ( Monica ) Muamba, Guillaume Muamba; her grandchildren, Israel ( Mireille ) Muamba, Chantal Kamya, Miriam Kamya, Cynthia Ndeba, Graciel Lobo, Rebekah Lobo, Michael Muamba, Josette Muamba and Jonathan Muamba, as well as six great-grandchildren including many special nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 9:00 am at St Joan of Arc Parish, 76 Menand Road, Albany, NY 12204. Interment will follow the Mass at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
