Lucille M. Sirco, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes surrounded by her loving family.
Lucille was born in Troy to the late Cesare and Lucia Mantell. She worked for the Watervliet Arsenal for over 20 years as a machinist until she retired. She was a member of the Speigle Elders with her late husband, Joe for several years. Lucille loved to travel, even later in life she traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Disney World and Las Vegas. She enjoyed shopping but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents Lucille is predeceased by; her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph Sirco, and six sisters and brothers.
Lucille is survived by her three children; Lucia Sirco, Anthony (Marilyn) Sirco and Joseph (Patricia) Sirco. She is the loving grandmother of; Collin (Gina) Sirco and Tai (Nicholas) Filippelli, and beloved great-grandmother of Ethan Filippelli and Sophia Sirco. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her close family friend, Stephen Kopecky, whom the family would like to send a special thank you for all of his love and dedication during Lucille's life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will follow the Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Memorial and Honor Program at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in Lucille's honor.
