Lucille Monroe

Lucille Monroe, 71 passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 18, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Lucille was the daughter of the late Angelo and Angeline Della Cioppa. Lucille was the loving wife to Thomas Monroe. They were married 49 years.

Lucille was more than just a loving mother and wife but a hard working type setter, school secretary and elementary school aid. She loved long drives in the woods with the family and taking small get aways to Maine. She loved to write poems for God and to her close family and friends. Lucille and Tom fostered many children over the years and adopted four children to call their own.

Lucille is survived by her children, Samantha, Leticia, Briannah, Christopher Thomas, and step children, Christopher Mark and Kirsten. Siblings, Mary Murdick, Constance Pogoda, Michael Della Cioppa, Christina Della Cioppa and Elizabeth Della Cioppa. Grandchildren, Josh, Aubree and Brooke.

Lucille is predeceased by her brother Gennaro Della Cioppa.

Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 6:00 pm.
