Lucy Dames

COLONIE – Lucy Dames, 76, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Lucy was born on July 18, 1933 in Albany and was the daughter of the late John and Mary C. (D'Aprile) Stello. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard N. Dames; her devoted children, Elena Wintle, Richard N. Dames Jr., and Albert "Mickey" (Debra) Dames; her cherished grandchildren, Jaymie, Melissa, Rachael, Kimberly, Albert Jr., Shane, Anthony, and Brett and her four cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Jean Mullally and Ann (Russell) Dames and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Clare's Church in Colonie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
