Lucy M. Maniscalco

COLONIE – Lucy Marion (Leone) Maniscalco, 90 ½, of Colonie, died December 12, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Fitchburg, MA on May 22, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Louis and Marion (Lagrassa) Leone. Lucy is survived by two children, Paula M. Maniscalco, RPA of Colonie and Joseph J. (Georgia) Maniscalco, Jr. of Colonie. She also leaves a grandson, Jason A. Maniscalco of Colonie, whom she loved, cherished and mentored from a child. Lucy was the wife of the late Joseph J. Maniscalco, Sr. whom she has gone to be reunited. She was the sister of the late Mary Ianuzzi, Filippina Leone, Grace Mannone, Jennie Anzaldi, Frances Lehto and Frank Leone. Lucy devoted her life to her family and her home, unselfishly. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Colonie for 50 years. She was an avid fan of soaps, Hollywood Stars and loved a "good" story on television.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:45 at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 9:30 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church, 26 Wilson Ave., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Lucy M. Maniscalco.
