Lucy Orsini

COLONIE – Lucy R. Orsini, 85, of Colonie, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2006. Born in Chieti, Italy, Mrs. Orsini was raised in Albany and resided in Colonie for most of her adult life. She worked at the Albany City Clerk's Office, and more recently for the New York State Dept. of Education from where she retired. Lucy was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was a member of the Hart Senior Citizens and the Polish American Citizens Club Auxiliary. Mrs. Orsini enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. Lucy was the beloved wife of the late Paul V. Orsini, Sr. who predeceased her on October 9, 2006. She is the devoted mother of Ann Marie Boughtin and her husband, John of Fairport, NY and Paul V. Orsini, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Clifton Park. She is the cherished grandmother of Jonathan Paul Boughtin of Nashville, TN. Lucy is the sister of Lydia Milano and her husband, Joseph of Wellsboro, PA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 8:45 New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Expressions of sympathy may be made at newcomerfamily.com
