Luella C. Weaver

Clifton Park, N.Y. Luella C. Weaver received her wings on February 1, 2021. Before her illness, Luella enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and dancing, as well as family gatherings surrounded by her loved ones.

While raising three children, she was employed by the Golub Corporation for many years and later retired after 20 plus years as a senior examiner with the Albany County Dept. of Social Services.

Luella will be forever remembered as a sweet, kind, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was predeceased by her parents, Bertha and William Williams; and her siblings, Charles, Arthur, and Elizabeth. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 69 years, Melvin F. Weaver Sr.; her children, Deborah (Ronald) Tripp, Melvin Weaver Jr., and Robert (Pamela) Weaver; her grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Vanessa, Stephanie, Derrick, Nicklaus, and Valerie; her step-granddaughters, Tammy and Erin, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

We will hold you forever in our hearts and memories. Now soar.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Sunday February 7, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm. Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.

A celebration of her life for family and friends will be planned for the summer of 2021 due to Covid-19 restrictions.
