It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luis Fernando Perez Sucre, a cherished brother, uncle, godfather, grandfather, and friend. Luis transitioned from this world on March 30th, 2024
Luis was born in 1957 to Horacio Perez and Mercedes Sucre. He grew up alongside his siblings, Mariano Perez, Rafael Perez, Mercedes Perez, Horacio Perez, and Carlos Perez in his home-town Caracas, Venezuela. Throughout his life, Luis embodied authenticity and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Luis was his own persona, a unique and beautiful human who approached life with kindness, humor, and unwavering support for those around him. His genuine nature endeared him to countless friends and family members. He had a knack for brightening any room with his infectious laughter and genuine care and love for others.
Above all else, Luis was unapologetically himself. He embraced his emotions openly and lived without fear of judgment or others' opinions. His authenticity was a beacon of light in a world often shrouded in pretense, reminding us all of the beauty found in simply being true to oneself.
Luis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and genuine connection. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In honoring Luis's memory, let us carry on his authenticity and kindness in our own lives. May his spirit continue to inspire and uplift us all.
Luis Fernando Perez Sucre will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany, 405 Washington Ave, Albany, NY, with a reception to immediately follow. Flowers may be delivered directly to the church.
