Lynn Marie Dunn

Lynn Marie Dunn, 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. She was born on February 3,1948 and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Barney) Gareau. She graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School in 1965. She worked at the National Commercial Bank and Trust Co before she became a homemaker and then worked part-time in the Colonie area for many years. 

She enjoyed her grandkids, being surrounded by family and friends, talking on the phone, and her garden. She especially enjoyed Sunday cookouts with her family.

Lynn is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, her best friend and love of her life, Jack W. Dunn. He was her devoted and loving caretaker for several years. She is also survived by her four children; Mary (Andrew) Clancy of Latham, Jeff (Carol) Dunn of Colonie, Joseph (Laura) Dunn of Loudonville and James (Stephanie) Dunn of Colonie. Christina Smith and Mary Kent also came to reside with Lynn and Jack for several years and were very dear to her.

She is the cherished Grandmother to Theresa, Jeffrey, Joshua, Sabastian, Amy, Julia Ann, Jessie, Alexandra and Hailey and Great-Grandmother to Daniel; known affectionately as Nana to them all. She is also survived by her siblings Richard Gareau, Stephen Gareau, Larry Gareau and many nieces and nephews.
