ROTTERDAM – Lynne A. Fontaine, 69, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Lynne was born on February 19, 1942 in Schenectady and was the son of the late Oneil and Julia (Cook) Fontaine. He was the first graduating class of Mohonasen High School in 1960 and received his associate's degree from H.V.C.C. He was an associate civil engineer for the NYS Department of Transportation in Albany for 32 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, photography, and sports and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants and the NY Nicks.
Lynne is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Trena M. (Hooker) Fontaine; his loving children, Michele D. (Bruce) Winn, Cheri A. Carlo and Tony F. Carlo; his cherished grandchildren, Hayden Carlo, Samantha White, Cecelia Winn and Walton Winn; his cherished great-granddaughter, Bella Mae Carlo; his brother, Bruce E. Fontaine; four sisters-in-law, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
