Lynnemarie Johnson

Lynnmarie Johnson was called to her heavenly home on May 27, 2023, at Colonie, NY. Born in Schenectady, New York on June 2, 1965, she was the daughter of Marilyn Lorraine McKenzie and Elijah V. Johnson (deceased). She graduated from Linton High School and furthered her education in the caregiver field. Though she had many health challenges, she fought the good fight.

She was a member of Duryee Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church from birth. Though her life took her in many directions she found her way back to Duryee. She was a former member of the usher board, active in the choir, and an active member of the Woman's Home & Overseas Missionary society. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, watching cartoons, listening to music, and spending time with her loved ones especially her "sunny" Zeriah. She always put others before herself with her meaningful gifts. She lit up the room with her bubbly personality and could make everyone laugh with her sense of humor.

She is survived by her mother, Marilyn; daughters, Eleisa Howard and Shayla Brewer; sons, Christopher E. Johnson and Jermaurlin Brewer; granddaughter, Zeriah Crespo all of Schenectady; and brothers, Anthony and Kelan Johnson; aunts, Marie Brandow (Robert), Gloria McKenzie, Lorraine McKenzie; and uncle, James Ellis (deceased) [Mary]. As well as a host of cousins, friends, and her companions (dogs) Chewy (deceased), Bella, China, and Charlie.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York on Wednesday June 7, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Park View Cemetery, 40 Fehr avenue, Schenectady, New York 12309.
