Mabel E. Donnelly

Mabel E. Donnelly, 90, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2015 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters.
Mabel was born in Watertown, NY, to the late Walter B. and Muriel (Lynn) Stoddard on October 12, 1924.
She moved with her family at age 8 to Greenwich, CT, where she immediately met the love of her life and future husband of 66 years, Edward Donnelly. Mabel became a Registered nurse upon her graduation from Greenwich Hospital's Nursing School in 1942. She remained a proud lifelong member and served as an officer in the Greenwich Hospital Nurse's Alumni Association. She retired in 1987 and lived with Ed in Greenwich until 2001 when they moved to the Albany, NY, area.
Mabel liked to knit, read, do puzzles and collect pictures of her cherished family, which she proudly displayed throughout her home.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ed.
Mabel is survived by her children, Richard (Dee Ann) Donnelly of Ocean City, NJ; Lynn Donnelly of Watervliet, NY; Robert (Vivian) Donnelly of Latham, NY; her grandchildren Amy (Darrell) Beaupre, Stacy (Brian) O'Shea, Conor (Sarah) Donnelly, Katie, Ryan and Kyle Donnelly; and her great grandchildren Conor and Molly Beaupre; Jack, Sam and Emily O'Shea; Otealia and Callan Donnelly.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144 in Mabel's memory.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Latham, NY. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Church. Interment will follow the Mass in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
