GUILDERLAND – Mabel F. Kosier, 91, passed away on Friday, April 05, 2013 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Abdow and Mary (Monsieur) Bercharlie.
Mabel retired from New York State Department of Motor Vehicles after 37 years of service.
Along with her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her husband Arthur, and several brothers and sisters.
She is the mother of Patricia (Joseph) Hoffman and Gloria (Robert) Schreiner; grandmother of Lynne (John) Scerbo, Susan (James) Hens, Jennifer (Richard) Basak, Bryan (Jill) Hoffman; great- grandmother to nine children, and sister of George Bercharlie and Anne Murray.
Mabel's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the nurses and staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the kindness shown during Mabel's stay.
At the family's request, there will be no calling hours and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, 2 Mercy Care Lane, Guilderland, NY 12084 or Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 in Mabel's name.
